It was a spur of the moment decision to visit Minglanilla, which is known as the "Sugat Capital" of the south. The Kabanhawan festival which is a celebrated event in the municipality is annually held every Easter Sunday. Since the resort we were staying was in the municipality we decided to head out after our night swim and drive around the area.
We arrived just in time for the fireworks and took photos of the images of Jesus and Mama Mary before the procession started.

It was a full moon that night, We headed back to the resort all looking forward to getting a good nights sleep and preparing for another day of swimming ahead :)

My kids have never experienced this. It's sad coz it's so much a part of our childhood and religion.. At oeast your kids have been to this even if they can't appreciate it yet.

DeleteChin, how come Andre doesnt want to dip his street food in the sauce? Hehehehe. Glad we both had a meaningful Easter week. YOur kids may not appreciate it now, but soon they will.
