Hello September!

September officially marks the start of the "Ber" months, which means Christmas is just around the corner.  I am excited about the holiday season coming up, but September also gives me enough reasons to be as ecstatic because of so many things to look forward to.

First on the list is that we are moving to a bigger office!  I love the old office because it had a cozy feel into it, but with the company expanding it's time to move to a bigger location to accommodate all the new amazing people joining the team.  Another thing is that our CEO would be visiting us and there have been plans of a company outing at a fancy resort once he is here, I can't wait!

This month, I am also very much excited to meet up with good friends I have not seen for a while.  My friends from my old workplace and I are planning on an "Army Navy" date, I already marked it on my calendar and that would be on the 15th.  My "soul friend" Mela and I are also planning to meet and chat on a weekend that would work for us both, we'll figure out the date but definitely pushing through.  My best friend (Sandee) is visiting the Philippines on the 6th, too bad I won't be able to meet up with her.  Another friend (Anne) who was my Intern at Makati Medical Center during my medical clerkship is visiting Cebu with her husband to attend a conference, and hopefully once schedule permits we're planning to meet over coffee.  And September 17th is the birthday of a dear friend, Happy Birthday Apple!!

September has me looking forward to so many wonderful and exciting events, and I'm grateful that things are off to a good start.   I am praying that this month will also be good to you as well.  Be positive!

PS:  I am also looking forward to 2 new pair of Flipelas I ordered from my entrepreneur friend Cocaine. Yipee!

Daily Affirmation Cards

There was a time when all the pressures and stress at my previous workplace was stirring up negative thoughts and feelings inside of me, and I knew that I needed to do something about it.  So I started to read inspirational quotes, Bible verses (thanks to the application I downloaded from the Android market) as well as daily affirmations to myself.  I got the "daily affirmation cards" idea from Kind Over Matter, a very inspiring blog which also feature tons of freebies and printables.

The Daily Affirmation cards gift set comes from 4 different authors and you need to download each from their own blogs.  I also decided to give out some to my friends who I hope would be inspired by these positive statements.

Let me walk you through how you can make your own "Daily Affirmation Cards".

- First you need to have a print out of all the daily affirmations and cut them one by one.

- For the box where you would be placing your cards, you need to download a pattern,  just search for it on any search engine and print it out, and gift wrapper or any cute printed paper to cover the box.

- I personally added these cute little flower pot holders to go with the affirmation cards, so you can place it on your desk at work or at home, and continue to be inspired  every day.

2012: Be my Awesome Year

I promised myself that 2012 would be an awesome year for me.  So despite of the recent turn of events that came as a big shock to me, I want to remain optimistic that great and wonderful things are yet to come.  So, after crying my eyes out I then focused on the things that I was looking forward to for 2012.

The very first thing on my list would be to WELCOME CHANGE.  I have to keep my end of the bargain and really work on planning out my plans for residency training.  This would be a huge change on my part since I have been out of the hospital scene for almost 4 years?  I guess it's about time for me to practice my profession, because if I keep putting it off, I know I'll never be able to go back.

It's just the 2nd month of 2012, I still have 10 months ahead of me and I know that whatever life throws my way, I will have a great year ahead. I believe that it will happen.
