Day 26: Write something about how you feel today...

Today I wanted to write something about how I feel...   but I can't put the feelings I have into words.

 It's a bittersweet mixture of all these emotions that I have.

The closest I could get is probably best expressed in the images I would be sharing.  I would let them tell the story :)

Take A Break



I had a pretty busy week.  I don't really want to go into details, because I would rather much think about what I intend to do over the weekend.

 An image I came across Pinterest gave me a couple of ideas on how to take a break, and I just wanted to share it with everyone.  The ideas are not that fancy, pretty simple and it's like going back to basics, so I know it's going to be fun.

We all need to take a break every once in a while, so take your pick and enjoy the weekend!

I am Claiming 2013...

This year will be a year of possibilities for me.  I can't explain it but I just feel that good things are bound to happen.

I am getting ready to take baby steps that hopefully would take me to where I want to be...

I know that things may get rough ahead.  I may meet some obstacles along the way, but as long as I have my family and friends with me, I know things are going to be okay.

So for this year, here are some things I have kept in mind and I wanted to share them hoping that it might just help you achieve whatever it is you are aiming for this year.

The three simple yet helpful rules in life



Be thankful for each new day because it gives you another chance at life.

No matter how tough life gets, good things are always bound to happen.

Never lose hope.  If at one point you feel that things are messed up, just believe that things happen for a reason, and everything will fall into place at the right time.

Encourage yourself to take chances... explore all the possibilities the world has to offer.

This year, I promised myself to be brave enough and step outside of my comfort zone.  To be able to reach out to others and make a difference.  To pursue my passion and my calling.  This year, I will challenge myself to do what others often think I am incapable of doing, and I will not be afraid if in case I fall, because I can always pull myself together and try again. 

This year, I know I am ready...

Whatever life throws at you, may you always find it in your heart to be "thankful" for everything, even for the difficulties you encounter.

Life was never meant to be easy, how can you appreciate the good if you never experienced the bad. 

Enjoy every single moment because you will never know how long it can last.

Hope


A few months back something sad happened in my workplace.  It was pretty much unexpected and left me and my team in shock.  Who would have imagined that at one moment you were all happy and talking about your plans for the future, and in just a blink of an eye everything changed.  

When one member of the team resigns and decides to venture into other career opportunities, you wish them the best.  But when a member is suddenly cut off from the team, asked to leave without a valid reason, it's just devastating, especially if you know that the person has a family to support and losing a job is not an option.

It was a difficult time then, everyone's morale was at it's lowest.  But life has to move on, and one thing that I shared to that friend of mine is a beautiful quote I found.  It perfectly expresses what was in my heart..  That whatever life throws at us, we just have to believe that things are going to be OK.  That sometimes, no matter how we try to avoid it, change is constant, and instead of fighting it, we just need to embrace it and hope for the best.

What it Takes to be Happy...

With my kids graduation in just a few days, I have been busy preparing for their school requirements, attending rehearsals for the presentation, looking for costumes and being a stage mom to my 2 kids.  Unfortunately my son  is upset about the whole day rehearsal because as what he said, they're just singing the same songs over and over and walking around.  

Anyway, I just wanted to share a thought for today about what it takes to be happy.  For me, to be happy is to appreciate all the things you have in your life, to be with the people you love the most... to be happy is to learn to let go of everything that has hurt  you in the past, to accept that life is not perfect and that it's OK to make mistakes sometimes.    To be happy is to live for today and not to worry about what tomorrow may bring.  

To be happy is to celebrate life by living it to the fullest, without looking back... no regrets.

What I Learned from Maya Angelou...

While browsing for quotes, I came across this excerpt from Maya Angelou.  It is beautifully written and it expresses exactly what she wants to convey to anyone who reads it.  Each line tells of a different lesson, but when summed up, it basically teaches us how to have a positive outlook in life, how to deal with people we meet each day, how to value the people in our life, especially our family.  It tells us that no matter how difficult things get, we don't have to be a pain to others... and that we can actually make a difference by reaching out with kindness to others.  It mirrors the same things I have learned in life all these years, thanks to Maya Angelou, she was able to express it perfectly  and came up with something inspiring.


“I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. 

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.
